04.12.2018 Statista´s global expansion continues – regional office openings in Amsterdam and Warsaw

Statista is going to the West and to the East with two new regional offices in Europe. Next to its Hamburg headquarters and regional headquarters in New York, London and Paris, Statista operates various regional offices around the globe. As of late, two new regional offices have been established, one in Amsterdam and one in Warsaw.

Nearing the end of a very strong year, Statista´s continuous growth demanded its presence close to its increasing number of customers in the Benelux. Recently, Statista inaugurated its regional office in Amsterdam from where Wouter Terlien, head of the Amsterdam office, serves our Benelux customers. “There was a high demand from the market to have a regional office here”, explains Wouter Terlien. “We are proud to count amongst our Benelux clients big names such as Proximus and NPO, the Dutch Public Broadcasting Agency”, he continues.

Currently, statista.com offers more than 21,000 statistics about the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Content about the Netherlands also includes data on the Caribbean Netherlands (Aruba, Sint Maarten, Curaçao, Saba, Bonaire and Sint Eustatius). Existing content on the Benelux covers all industries, including key economic indicators, the financial market, retail trade & FMCG, media & advertising, tourism, transport, Internet and E-Commerce and more. For 2019, further expansion is foreseen, with a special focus on trends, such as (organic) food, smartphone use, inbound tourism and insurance.

Driven by increasing sales also in Central Europe, a new regional office has been opened in Poland. “It is the eighth largest economy in the European Union and is projected to grow continuously in the coming years”, says Marcin Ochonski, Country Manager Poland. “I am thrilled to represent Statista here in Warsaw from where I can build and maintain a close relationship with our customers in the region. Not only in Poland but in the other countries of Central Europe as well.”

Currently, the statista.com platform offers more than 3000 statistics specifically on Poland. Content includes coverage across all industries, including key economic indicators, the financial market, retail trade & FMCG, media & advertising and more. From December onwards, key data will be expanded across all industries, with an initial focus on topics and trends such as e.g. foreign investment and economic growth, the e-commerce market, the gaming industry and more. In the new year, users can expect to see new dossiers published regularly on these and other important industries and current topics in Poland.
