This graph depicts the results of a survey about the conduction of a data inventory or audit of personal from the European Union for GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) among companies in the United States and in the European Union in 2018, by area. According to data, the share of firms which made an inventory of personal information was largest in the European Union (43 percent) than in the United States (29 percent).
