Canadian airports: security expenses by segment

Expenses for pre-board passenger and baggage screening was almost half of the total expenses of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) in the 2021 financial year, amounting to 351.14 million Canadian dollars. This was over twice the amount spent on hold baggage screening or non-passenger screening.
