Share of federal arrests by district and region of citizenship U.S. FY 2018

In the fiscal year of 2018, 92 percent of arrests by federal authorities in the United States of Mexicans took place in U.S.-Mexico border districts, compared to eight percent of arrests of Mexicans in non-border districts. Additionally, 94.3 percent of arrests of Central Americans also took place in U.S.-Mexico border districts.
