During the financial year of 2017, the electronics market had the highest online retail market penetration rate of almost 20 percent across the country, followed by the apparel and living segment with a six percent penetration. Notably, the food and grocery market had not penetrated the target market in that year but was estimated to penetrate 0.5 percent of the target market by 2020.
