Inadequate quality goods share in Russian cosmetic market 2005-2020, by origin
In 2005, every third product of national origin in the Russian cosmetics market had an inadequate quality or was dangerous for consumption. The share of such goods imported from abroad was under 20 percent in that year. However, the quality of cosmetic products both, imported and manufactured in the country has improved significantly over the past years. In 2020, the average quality index was reported at 4.4 percent for national products and 0.6 percent for imported cosmetic goods.
