Private equity divestments in Europe 2021

Private equity divestment refers to the process of selling subsidiary assets of private companies that are not listed on the stock exchange. In 2021, companies from the French and Benelux region accounted for the biggest share of private equity investments in Europe. The divestments at cost in the region amounted to 13.7 percent of the private equity investment value. In 2020, France and Benelux companies attracted the second largest share of private equity investment in Europe.
