Secondary school students studying foreign languages in Italy 2019, by language
In 2019, 99.6 percent of high school students in Italy learned English. In fact, English was the most studied language in Italian schools. French and Spanish were studied by 16.2 percent and 14.8 percent of scholars, respectively. Additionally, German was the fourth most common foreign language in Italian high schools. Eventually, a small share of students studied Russian (0.4 percent).
