Mexico: share of tequila sales 2022, by type
In 2022, sales of tequila produced in Mexico reached a value of over 67 billion Mexican pesos.
That year, the most sold category of tequila was tequila blanco, an unaged kind of tequila that accounted for almost 44 percent of the total tequila sales value. Tequila reposado, characterized by its golden color, is a type of tequila left to age in a barrel for at least one month. This variety accounted for 31.7 percent of total tequila sales that year.
