Since 2014, there are eight metros in India - Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Pune.
According to the Economic Times survey conducted across India metros in 2019, 37 percent of respondents wanted to move out to a tier 2 or 3 city with good jobs and facilities. Whereas, 11 percent of the respondents were willing to move to any 2 or 3 city.
