Apple sales in markets from South Africa 2000-2019
In the production year 2018/19, the sales volume of apples in the markets from South Africa slightly decreased to 146.7 thousand metric tons, down from 149.2 thousand metric tons in the previous year. The sales volume reached a peak in 2003/04, with 181 thousand metric tons, an increase of roughly 14 percent from 2002/03. On the other hand, 2007/08 registered the lowest amount of sales, about 136.2 thousand metric tons, a reduction of 19.3 percent in comparison to 2006/07.
