Production of plums in South Africa 2000-2019
As of 2018/19, the production of plums in South Africa declined to 58,815 metric tons, down from 75,184 metric tons in the previous year. The produced volume has been decreasing since a peak of 86,715 metric tons in 2016/17. Drops in the plums roduction may be related to an alternate bearing crop (varies in production quantity from year to year).
