At the beginning of March 2020, the Government declared the state of alarm in the country. As a consequence, citizens were forced to stay at home, being able to go out only in cases of urgent need. In May 2020, the measures began to relax. However, a survey conducted during this month showed the distrust of Spaniards to return to carrying out activities that before the pandemic were part of their regular lives, such as taking a taxi or a cab. 19 percent of those surveyed stated that they had no intention of using the taxi or cab service until a vaccine against COVID-19 was found. On the other hand, about 60 percent said they want to do it once the health crisis is over.
