Population with a financial institution or mobile account in West Africa 2017
As of 2017, Ghana recorded the highest financial account ownership rate in West Africa, which represented approximately 57.7 percent of its total population 15 years and older, and this was followed by Togo, with around 45.3 percent of its population having a financial account. In the same year, the Niger Republic registered the lowest rate of financial account ownership.
