Share of U.S. consumers who prefer online insurance claims over phone claims 2019
In 2019, especially older American consumers preferred to talk with a person when claiming insurance, rather than doing this online. Indeed, according to a 2019 survey, roughly six out of ten U.S consumer older than 45 years preferred phone-based claims processes over online. However, 43 percent of respondents aged between 18 and 44 years - the plurality for this demographic - preferred online claims.
