Value of holiday season retail sales in China 2017-2021, by channel
In 2020/2021 holiday season (over the period between November 1 and February 28), which hosts a number of shopping occasions like Singles' Day and the Chinese New Year, about 58 percent of all retail sales are predicted to be made offline in China. This share amounts to around 7.83 trillion Chinese yuan. The value of online retail sales during this period is forecast to reach 5.67 trillion yuan.
