In 2020, most households in Morocco who had children below the age of 18 years were more susceptible to cut expenses on fruits, while those without children would reduce spendings with red meat. Based on a survey conducted in the country, this is representative of 36 percent and 23.8 percent of the household respondents (2,350), respectively. Moreover, for both types of household, expenses on cooking oils were the least cut.
