Perceived weight of masculinity injunctions among French men 2019, by age and type
Women are subjected to numerous injunctions and pressures. Although the logics of domination are obviously not the same within the heterosexual system, men's bodies are also subject to norms of virility. And yet, virility as a normative model nourished a certain discomfort among French men in 2019, and in particular among the youngest who more affected by the weight of injunctions to masculinity than their elders.
