Store visit frequency among UK shoppers in luxury retail 2020, by generation
According to findings of a survey conducted in the United Kingdom, customer visits to luxury stores faced changes due to mitigation and restrictions in 2020. Older generations claimed to visit luxury retail stores less during the pandemic (at 69 percent) compared to Gen Z and Millennials (at 56 percent). When it came to visiting behavior on par with pre-pandemic levels, Gen Z and Millennials led with a majority of 38 percent, and Baby boomers at 30 percent. Frequent luxury store visits despite restrictions took a low with the younger cohort leading by six percent.
