As of 2021, the expenditure on display advertising in India peaked to about 1.6 billion U.S. dollars. This was an 18 percent increase from the display ad spending recorded in the previous year. Display ads or digital display advertising refers to online graphic advertising carried out on websites, social media and apps in the form of banners or other platforms made of text, image, video, flash and audio.
