U.S. adults who have seen climate content action on social media 2021, by generation
A survey conducted in the United States in April 2021 asked adults if they had seen climate action content on social media in the past few weeks. Overall, 56 percent of those belonging to Generation Z, those born after 1996, said that they had seen such content online. In addition, 46 percent of respondents in the Millennial category stated to have seen climate action content recently. Furthermore, 44 percent of those in the Baby Boomer generation and older (ages 57 to 75 in 2021) had seen online content on the need for climate action of which 21 percent reported engagement with it.
