WWII: value of U.S. Lend-Lease military aid 1941-1949, by recipient and category
A total of more than 14 billion U.S. dollars worth of aid was sent by the United States Department of War to the United Kingdom, its colonies and dominions as military aid via the Lend-Lease Act of 1941 throughout the Second World War. Almost five billion of this was in the form of aircraft and aeronautical materials (such as engines and spare parts for repairs), while another 3.7 billion was in the form of (mostly combat) vehicles. After the British Empire, the Soviet Union was the largest recipient of U.S. military Lend-Lease aid, and the largest share of this aid was (mostly non-combat) vehicles.
