Import value of fruits and nuts into Angola 2015-2022
In 2022, Angola imported close to 12 million U.S. dollars worth of fruits and nuts. This was the lowest value among the years under review. This is likely due to the effects of COVID-19 effects on importing perishable goods. Perishable food items, such as fruits, vegetables, and seafood, faced particular challenges during the pandemic. Restrictions on international travel reduced air freight capacity, affecting the export of perishable goods that heavily relied on air transportation. As a result, these goods faced logistical difficulties, leading to spoilage and financial losses for both producers and importers.
