The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) was signed in 2021. It aims to make major investments in U.S. broadband, transportation, and energy infrastructure. The legislation designates around 37.62 billion U.S. dollars for projects relating to infrastructure safety. Within this funding area, around 15.56 billion U.S. dollars are allocated to the Highway Safety Improvement Plan. An additional five billion is allocated for Safe Streets and Roads for All.
