Share of invasive resistant Acinetobacter in EU/EEA 2017-2021, by antimicrobial group
Acinetobacter species are bacteria causing mainly healthcare-associated infections. As of 2021, resistance to fluoroquinolone antibiotics was the most common form of Acinetobacter species antibiotic resistance in EU and EEA countries, with 43 percent, followed by resistance to carbapenems and aminoglycosides.
