As of December 2023, almost two-thirds (or 64 percent) of public relations (PR) professionals surveyed worldwide said they used generative artificial intelligence (AI) to write copy for social media. Research and press release writing followed, each included by 58 percent of respondents among their AI-reliant work-related activities. According to the same study, nearly two-thirds of responding global PRs used generative AI at work as of late 2023.
