The value of public federal construction in the United States has increased in 2022 and 2023. That came after a slight drop in 2021, when the federal construction spending amounted to 25 billion U.S. dollars. The year before that, in 2020, coinciding with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government had increased its spending.
