Pharma company ranking based on access to medicine in developing countries 2022

The Access to Medicine Index is an independent initiative that ranks the world’s 20 largest companies according to their efforts to make their products more available, affordable and accessible in developing countries, highlighting policy and practice that either facilitate or hinder access to medicine.
The Index uses a framework that evaluates company activities in seven areas of activity, or technical areas, considered to be key to enhancing access to medicine in developing countries, and across four important aspects of action, or strategic pillars.
A score of zero means lowest and five signifies highest indicator score among the company set.
Merck & Co., Inc. is known as MSD outside the US and Canada. Merck KGaA’s healthcare division is known as EMD Serono in the US and Canada.
