In terms of ad spend, the leading radio advertiser in the United States was T-Mobile US, which spent roughly 176 million U.S. dollars in 2018. Other brands on the list included Comcast Corporation, Berkshire Hathaway, Home Depot, and AT&T. In the same year, the largest advertisers in the United States across all media were Comcast Corp., AT&T, and Amazon, respectively.

Total U.S. advertising spending

With each consecutive year since 2015, media ad spending has increased in the United States, standing at almost 224 billion U.S. dollars in 2018. Roughly six and a half percent of that total ad spending was attributed to radio advertising. This share is expected to decrease by just over one percent by 2022, while the mobile share is predicted to increase substantially.
