The statistic provides data on leading film markets worldwide from 2007 to 2018, ranked by the number of films produced. China was the second largest market in 2018, with 1,082 movies produced that year. The number of films produced in China and South Korea has increased dramatically in recent years, with China producing over one thousand movies in 2018 compared to 526 in 2010. Similarly, South Korea produced 152 feature films in that year and 454 in 2018.
