This statistic was assembled using several editions of the report.

* Break in time series. In April 2022, ExxonMobil reconfigured its divisions, and the Downstream and Chemical businesses were combined to form the Product Solutions division. Accordingly, the Downstream division, which previously facilitated the company's petroleum sales no longer exists as a discrete entity. Figures from 2022 onward reflect company-wide energy product sales.
