British films' box office gross as a share of the global box office revenue 2002-2022
In 2022, box office gross of films made in or co-produced by the United Kingdom accounted for 16.2 percent of the box office revenue generated in 23 markets across the world. The figure peaked in 2019 at 28.7 percent. In 2003 and 2009, it stood below seven percent. Germany, France, and Russia were the leading markets for British films in Europe in 2021.
