Revenue of AT&T worldwide 2006-2018
AT&T's operating revenue worldwide from 2006 to 2018 (in billion U.S. dollars)

AT&T's business segments and strategy
AT&T is known for their telecommunications business, offering wireless and wireline telephone services, but the multinational corporation has started to focus on direct to consumer distribution of media content in recent years as well. In June 2018, the company acquired Time Warner (now WarnerMedia) and this vertical merger resulted in a change in the company’s segmentation.WarnerMedia, with its focus on media, entertainment and content, has become AT&T’s second largest segment. The Latin America segment provides video entertainment services in Latin America and wireless subscription services in Mexico. Finally, Xandr is AT&T’s advertising division, which develops advertisements relevant to the consumer. The revenue generated by each of these segments is also reflected in the employee breakdown by country and region. While the company has been expanding its business, AT&T still generates most of its revenue from its core business - the communications segment.
One of the most valuable telecom brands
Alongside its operating revenue, AT&T’s global brand value has also been growing steadily, starting from a value of roughly 12 billion in 2008 to about 108 billion U.S. dollars by 2019. This makes them one of the most valuable telecom brands in the world, outperforming other major companies, such as Verizon, Xfinity, Deutsche Telekom and China Mobile.AT&T's operating revenue worldwide from 2006 to 2018 (in billion U.S. dollars)
