Oxford University Press’s annual turnover in fiscal 2023 reached 825.3 million British pounds, which was 781.3 million British pound in 2022.

Academic books see drop in sales revenue

Oxford University Press is the biggest university press in the world. It is a department of the University of Oxford, and specializes in research, education, and English language teaching. Many publishers have had a hard time in recent years. In 2018, Publisher sales of academic and professional books in the United Kingdom fell to 1.1 billion British pounds, down from 1.2 billion in 2017.

It’s a different story for children’s book sales

It was, however, different for some book categories in terms of sales revenues. For example, children’s books performed better in 2018 than they did in 2017. As did non-fiction/reference books. Overall publisher book sales were down compared to the previous year.
