Facebook usage for news in selected European countries 2016-2018
This statistic displays the share of news consumers who used Facebook to access, find, read, watch, share or discuss news in selected European countries in 2016 to 2018. During the survey, it was found that the use of Facebook for news purposes was the highest in Italy and Spain, with the penetration of 51 percent and 48 percent respectively, while only 24 percent of Germans reported using Facebook for news in 2018.
