This statistic represents the opinions of U.S. car owners on the value of cars based on brands. Opinions are based on a telephone survey as of December 15, 2013 and converted into an index score. U.S. car brand, Chevrolet, acquired an index score of 16 percent as of December 13, 2013. Toyota and Honda have had a reputation for high resale value. Value was determined with the addition of road-test scores, reliability scores, and five-year owner costs.
