This statistic shows the rate of mortality to small intestine cancer incidence in England in 2016, by region and gender. The small intestine connects the stomach to the large intestine. Cancer of the small intestine is a cancer which occurs in the small intestine, more specifically it occurs when cells in the small intestine grow abnormally. In the East Midlands and West Midlands in 2016, 38 percent of males and 28 percent of females who were diagnosed died as a result of cancer of the small intestine, this was the highest recorded rate among males.
