Road accidents in Great Britain 2018 caused by environment factors

This statistic shows the number of fatal, serious and slight road accidents that were caused by environment factors in Great Britain (UK) in 2018. Road layout was the main cause of accidents among those caused by road environment factors. Slight accidents due to road layout was the highest number in that year, with 1,510 accidents. However, number of fatal accidents due to road layout were lower, with 43 accidents.
Other notable causes of slight accidents due to road environment factors include deposit on road and animal or object in a carriageway. However, these factors caused much fewer accidents than road layout.
