Royal tourism: retail sales income UK 2023

Retail sales income from the Royal Estate in the United Kingdom increased sharply in 2022/2023 compared to the previous fiscal year, after shrinking with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Between April 2022 and March 2023, retail sales amounted to roughly 25.5 million British pounds, the highest figure reported over the period considered. While the total number of admissions to the Royal Estate in the UK also rebounded in 2022/2023, attendance remained below pre-pandemic levels.

Data from 2019/2020 onwards do not include the Clarence House, since it closed to the public that year. Figures prior to 2021/2022 were previously published by the source.
