Annual sales of new energy vehicles in China 2011-2022, by propulsion type
In 2022, around 5.4 million battery-electric vehicles were sold in China, an increase of 83.95 percent compared to 2021. In the same year, about 1.5 million plug-in hybrid vehicles were sold in China, an increase of 151.91 percent compared to the previous year.
