Euro to U.S. dollar monthly exchange rate 2014-2019 This statistic displays the monthly exchange rate (as of the end of each month, at closing) of the euro to the U.S. dollar (EUR USD), according to data provided by the European Central Bank, from January 2014 to October 2019. The concrete, or point in time, measure shows the exchange rate as of the last day of each month, which is different to the standardized measure; that denotes a calculation of average based on many observations throughout the period in question.
In October 2016, the euro to U.S. dollar monthly exchange rate was equal to 1.1, which meant that one euro could buy 1.1 U.S. dollars. By December 2016 this value had decreased to 1.05, which meant that one euro could buy 1.05 U.S. dollars. The fact that the monthly euro to U.S. dollar exchange rate between 2016 and 2017 increased slightly is also reflected in the annual exchange rate. As of October 2019, the exchange rate of the euro to U.S dollar stands (as of the end of each month, at closing) at approximately 1.12.
