Elderly that have named a substitute decision maker in Canada by province 2021

This survey indicates the percentage of Canadians over the age of 65 years that had named a substitute decision maker as part of their end-of-life plans as of 2021, by province. Some 71 percent of older citizens living in Alberta had named a substitute decision maker, the highest in all province/territories.
