Complaints about advertising campaigns registered in Germany 2016-2022
This statistic shows the number of complaints submitted to the German Council of Advertising (Deutscher Werberat) in Germany from 2016 to 2022. The Werberat acts as a tool for the ethical self-regulation of the German advertising industry and is in charge of evaluating ad campaigns of private companies only. In 2022, around 1,008 formal complaints were registered by the committee, 313 of which were acquitted.
