This statistic shows the share of television households that used cable TV in Germany in 2023, broken down by federal state. In Berlin and Brandenburg, 54 percent of TV households watched television via cable connection on at least one device.

The source adds the following information: "Households with TV reception via more than one reception channel were counted once for each channel. Hence, the sum of all reception channels may exceed 100 percent. [...] According to the Landesmedienanstalten, satellite households that didn't use a separate satellite receiver (ca. 187,000) were counted as cable households."
