Share of net claims incurred by P/C insurance in Canada 2022, by line
In 2022, the share of net property and casualty (P/C) claims incurred by total auto insurance in Canada amounted to 46 percent. This was by far the largest share of any insurance line; almost twice the 24 percent of claims incurred by second-placed personal property insurance. In total, there was 35.1 billion Canadian dollars of net claims incurred in the Canadian P/C insurance sector.
