Leading with over 52 percent of the total market share, it was followed by Safari, which had nearly 26 percent. Internet Explorer had a market share of approximately 8.3 percent and none of the other web browsers had shares, exceeding five percent in the evaluated period.

That year Chrome was the leading desktop web browser by market share as well. Second on the Norwegian desktop browser market came Internet Explorer. In contrast, Safari ranked first among the mobile web browsers in the country, holding nearly half of the market share in 2019, and it was closely followed by Chrome. Samsung Internet held over nine percent of the market, whereas all the other mobile web browsers held less than one percent each.
