UK: iron & steel industries projected energy consumption 2015-2040

Solid and manufactured fuels is the energy type with the highest final energy consumption within the iron and steel industries. Between 2015 and 2040, figures are expected to decrease by 226 thousand metric tons of oil equivalent. The second most used energy type is natural gas, with a final energy consumption forecasted to reach 235 thousand metric tons of oil equivalent in 2040.
