Museum visits in England by month 2023

In September 2023, the number of visits to museums and galleries sponsored by the UK government's Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) increased compared to the previous year. That said, it remained below the figure from September 2019, before the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Overall, attendance at DCMS-sponsored museums reached approximately 3.1 million in September 2023.
