* In the Belgian regional elections representatives for the regional parliaments, that is the Flemish Parliament, the Walloon Parliament, the Parliament of the German-speaking Community, and the Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region, are elected. Members of the Parliament of the French-speaking Community are not directly elected, but are members of the Walloon Parliament and the French-speaking part of the Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region. For the Parliament of the German-speaking Community 25 members are directly elected during the regional elections. Of those 25, one member has a seat in the Federal Senate.
