Primary fuel consumption for inland energy use in the UK 1970-2018
This statistic shows the total annual primary fuel consumption for energy use in the United Kingdom (UK) from 1970 to 2018, in million metric tons of oil equivalent. It shows that the primary fuel consumption for energy use decreased overall during this period, from 210.1 million metric tons of oil equivalent in 1970 to 192.2 million metric tons of oil equivalent in 2018. For the years 2000 and 2005 however, the consumption increased significantly to 234.8 million and 236.3 million metric tons of oil equivalent respectively.
